How to schedule article post in WordPress?

It is extremely easy to schedule article post for your future postings. While you write/edit your article in your “wordpress (WordPress)”:http://www.wordpress.org/ blog, make sure that you edit/set the *TimeStamp* to the date in future which you want to schedule your article. Do not forget to *PUBLISH* your article (not *SAVE*). That’s all and your articles are scheduled for future postings. For instance if you want your article to be posted on Christmass, then set the *TimeStamp* to 25 December 2006 (for this year) and set your minute and second to your desired time.

*Note* – Keep in mind that the *Edit TimeStamp* should be checked/selected while editing an article. Just changing the date/time do not affect the *TimeStamp* unless you select that option.

Animated Avatar for Digg?

I saw this user – “Laurie (Laurie)”:http://digg.com/users/Gruesome/profile who have an animated Avatar on “Digg (Digg)”:http://www.digg.com/. I wish to asked how he did that. Digg neither allows peer-peer communication nor digging within itself, so I wrote this article to ask *How do One get an animated Avatar on Digg?*

Recruiting.com Becomes Digg for Jobs

Man, I did think of this idea long back and if you ask my colleagues, friends, they will tell you that I did tell them about this idea. I saw Mashable’s article- “Recruiting.com Becomes Digg for Jobs (Recruiting.com Becomes Digg for Jobs)”:http://mashable.com/2006/09/14/recruitingcom-becomes-digg-for-jobs/ and realized that it is something somewhere else that I wished to do myself long back. I’m not sure how long “Recruiting.com (Recruiting.com)”:http://www.recruiting.com/ but with the success of “Digg (Digg)”:http://www.digg.com/ and other social networking sites, I knew I wanted to do something where the recruiting process is easy, transparent. I wanted a place where one can get the right candidate for the job. Nonetheless, their idea is still a bit different from mine and I can still do it.. ;-)

Newspapers are way behind in News

I woke up today morning to find some striking similarities of the articles on the Newspaper. I’ve read them few days back! Well, this had been happening for quite sometime and today, I decided to take some photographs of them. Sometimes, with the information overload on the internet, you get this “D?j? Vu (D?j? Vu)”:http://people.howstuffworks.com/question657.htm rather frequently.

I saw that “Pluto is just a Number (Pluto is just a Number)”:http://digg.com/space/Pluto_is_Now_Just_a_Number_134340 on “Digg (Digg)”:http://www.digg.com/ coupla days back and today, I “saw it on the Newspaper (Pluto is just a number on Flickr)”:http://www.flickr.com/photos/brajeshwar/243052809/.

It was about 2 days back that the whole world was ga-ga over Apple’s release of the “new software and hardwares (Apple did it again)”:http://mac.brajeshwar.com/2006/09/apple-did-it-again/. In today’s Newspaper, I “saw the articles (Apple unviels new iPods)”:http://www.flickr.com/photos/brajeshwar/243053105/. “Ain’t they late? (Digg already got those articles long back)”:http://digg.com/search?area=promoted&age=7&sort=old&s=apple+and+ipods&submit=Search

This one is a bit OK, as they themselves says *Blogger’s Park*. But that is too late! I saw “this newspaper article (Newspaper Clipping)”:http://www.flickr.com/photos/brajeshwar/243052539/ being “dugg 2 days back (Aussies killing Stingray to Avenge “Crocodile Hunter” Death)”:http://digg.com/world_news/Aussies_killing_Stingray_to_Avenge_Crocodile_Hunter_Death.

And of course, all the stories were on the front page of “Digg (Digg)”:http://www.digg.com/.

IMAX Experience – New Enriched Site Design

The only cool Cinema Theatre Website that is well designed is that of “Adlabs Multiplex (Adlabs Multiplex)”:http://www.adlabsmultiplex.com/. Flash, HTML and Ajax have been used appropriately at the right place. This is the type of Website Design that I’m talking about and that the Public facing interface of Indian Institutes should start looking into. A user is definitely not happy when crappy, cheesy design faced them when they tried to book a ticket for a movie. Sometimes, non-working scripts are a total put-offs.

Visit “Adlabs Multiplex (Adlabs Multiplex)”:http://www.adlabsmultiplex.com/
The site is designed by “Influx DZine (Influx DZine)”:http://www.influx.co.in/

What if your site got a link from Wikipedia?

Well, I was browing through my “Mint (Mint)”:http://www.haveamint.com/ Statistics today and saw a link being referred to me from “Wikipedia (Wikipedia)”:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Object-oriented_programming. Ain’t it cool that my article is being referred back from Wikipedia.

This is in the wake of a 10,000+ visitors a day since I released “Nishita (Nishita)”:http://www.brajeshwar.com/archives/2006/08/nishita-another-free-photo-blog-wordpress-theme/ coupla days back. It is a real nice feeling when you know that your articles, works are being appreciated by people and that you can do some good for other people.
