I signed up for one of their Internet connection package long back, I had to give them my email ID which perhaps was one of the worst mistake I ever made about Email Management. Unlike spammers who try to hide under the veil of anonymous mail IDs and non-sounding domain names, they are spamming their customers very nonchalantly.
It has become a regular for me to get at least 20+ mails from their VSNL Account everyday offering business database of thousands if I want to spam the victims, offering me discounts and other product advertisements. Is it that they’re unaware of the spam rules, laws or that they feel - this is bloody India, we can just get away with it. Their email never got caught in the spam net as they are mailed individually by a person carefully selecting all their victims (the customers).
I’m counting the days when I get a little more extra time and money to find a good lawyer to sue them or atleast bring to their notice that we hate spammers.
From their attitude, I’m sure their office - a tleast in the IT section are run by superstitious digeratis and technical bastards.
