How to Digg befriend those who befriended you?

Honestly, I’ve no idea and I’m having a hard time trying to reciprocate those who have befriended me. I don’t have the solution but wanted to ask if there are smart ways of picking those who have befriended you in some sorta check-list to manipulate.

* What about an RSS feed or a notification when people befriended or de-friend you?
* What about a Grease Monkey Script that can do this?
* What about a Firefox Add-on?

I hope Digg have that easy to use options in future! Of course, if you know of some solutions, please feel free to comment about the same.

Big Brother – Shilpa Shetty wins

Shilpa Shetty“Shilpa Shetty (Shilpa Shetty)”:http://www.shilpa-shetty.com/ ends the Racist controversy at the “Big Brother (Big Brother)”:http://www.channel4.com/bigbrother/ – well she won. Yes, Shilpa has been crowned the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2007 after polling 67% of the final vote.

Shilpa’s devotion to feeding the housemates didn’t quite win her unanimous support, as Danielle, Jade and Jo debated the health and safety of her chicken. And then came the great stock cube argument – Racism at the Big Brother’s House. But Shilpa managed to sail through stormy waters with her head held high and her over sized sunglasses firmly secured. Apologies and cider were soon heaped upon her and her infectious laughter was regularly heard bouncing off the walls of the House. Her time in the House was definitely full of emotion and incident, and she has won over a legion of new fans.

How to access Flickr if it is blocked

As “Flickr (Flickr)”:http://www.flickr.com/ is one such popular site, people spend a lot of time on the site. Some organizations are known to block Flickr. Organizations don’t want their employees wasting time on social networking sites. If Flickr is blocked in your organization, the easy way to access it is though a different url.

For instance my original “Flickr Photos (Flickr Photos)”:http://www.flickr.com/photos/brajeshwar/ can be accessed with a suffix of “mud.yahoo (mud.yahoo)”:http://www.flickr.mud.yahoo.com/photos/brajeshwar/.

Salaam-E-Ishq

Anjana Sukhani in Salaam-E-IshqI wasn’t really sure if the Movie would live up to the hype and publicity before the release; the scarcity of the tickets at the box office (in Pune) yesterday was tempting me to wait for today – the day for which I got the ticket for “Salaam-E-Ishq (Salaam-E-Ishq)”:http://www.salaam-e-ishq.com/. I missed the usual Paid Preview I enjoy at Mumbai and thus had to delay by 2 days. Today’s report about the movie on the gossip, media TV was disheartening. I had made up my mind that I would come out at any time if it start to bore like *Baabul*.

Even though it was not that good, Salaam-E-Ishq wasn’t bad either. Govinda was at his usual funny self, Salman was still unable to act effectively, littered with his tattered Hindi (his hindi sounds like it comes out from somebody who learnt it recently & had been used to speaking English all his life). Priyanka, well, she is new to the industry and she still have to learn to spruce her acting skills lot more. Besides her dance/song sequence it was hard to digest her acts. Her acting still reminds of the same kiddish acting she did in *Krrish*.

26th January is India’s Republic Day

26th January is India's Republic DayEvery year, the 26th of January is celebrated in India as the *Republic Day*. It was on this day in 1950 that India was formally declared as a *Republic*. To mark this occasion, a grand parade is held in New Delhi, the Capital of India.

Different infantry, cavalry and mechanized regiments of the Indian Army, the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force march in formation, decked in all their finery and official decorations. The President of India, who is also the Commander in Chief of the Indian Armed Forces, takes the salute. The Chief Guest of the parade is a Head of State of another nation. The parade also includes many traditional dance troupes, to symbolize the cultural heritage of India. It traditionally ends with a colorful fly past by Air Force jets in a Tricolor formation.

English speaking pandits in demand, Marriage outsourced to India

Indian Hindu Marriage in RajasthanFor some strange reasons, English speaking foreign nationals are interested in getting married in India. This is perhaps the pinnacle of outsourcing to India. In “Jaipur (Jaipur)”:http://www.flickr.com/photos/brajeshwar/sets/72057594083877274/ where “Marriages (Marriages)”:http://www.flickr.com/photos/brajeshwar/sets/72057594087887733/ are done in grandeur, it is attracting more and more non-Indian marriages to the typical Indian Hindu Marriage.

Well, Marriage Pandits are now in high demand and specially those who can murmur English. The other Pandits are now opting for special crash course in English Speaking or rather Chanting Slokas and Mantras in English (translated from the Sanskrit). Speaking English will place them in the Pandits-in-demand.

These Pandits and the English-enabled-Hindu-Marriage planners are getting huge returns. In fact, they’re getting way more than their usual incomes. At the time of writing this article, I’m unable to garner any source as to why the Non-Indians are interested in the Hindu Marriages in India presided over by Indian Pandits.

The Covenant

The Covenant“The Covenant (The Covenant)”:http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/thecovenant/ is released today (19th Jan, 2007) in India. Well, it’s not a good movie at all.

The movie tries to be like one of those old witchy world sipping into the Modern world. Somewhere in early 1690s, 5 families of the Ipswich Colony of Massachussets (who had fled from France, England into America) formed a covenant of silence of their supernatural powers. A family was banished for using it for the wrong means, their bloodline disappeared somehow until now where all the trouble begins. The supposedly thriller movie is about 4 young men who have been born with the special powers. The forgotten, banished family’s descendent came out and challenged them and of course hell break loose.

Digg – be prepared to be hit from the Indian Troll

DiggTimes of India, one of the most popular newspaper in India carries an article on “Digg (Digg)”:http://digg.com/. So, beware, there might an Indian troll on Digg looming around the corner ready to pounce anytime.

The Indians are very patient, they can do repetitive and mundane task very effectively, they are quick to catch up with simple, quick to finish jobs. Seeing the growth of *PO (read, KPO, ITO, BPO and all the other POs) in India, the above statement is evident that the majority of the Indian Technical Swarm is good with such works including the new growth of self proclaimed SEO experts, Web Masters and of course the much praised Technical Engineer Workforce working in “Call Centers and BPOs (Call Centers and BPOs)”:http://ojustme.com/2006/11/a-deafening-time-bomb-waiting-at-indian-call-centers/.

“Times of India (Times of India)”:http://www.timesofindia.com/ is perhaps one of the most popular Daily Newspaper in India. It carries a page on technology related article everyday just before the sports section. This section is where I don’t miss and I shirk everyday with the feeling “can’t they be a bit advanced than this”. All the news, technical articles are about 3 to 4 days old at most and sometimes a week or a month old. Let me take that with a pinch of salt assuming that it is well suited for the other regular people who don’t need to and want to live on the bleeding edge of technical happenings. So, it is OK.

Spider-Man 3 Spoilers

Spider-Man 3We are not really supposed to write spoilers but hey, let’s enjoy. I just found this article – “Spoilers From Spider-Man 3′s Battle Royale (Spoilers From Spider-Man 3′s Battle Royale)”:http://filmick.blogspot.com/2007/01/big-finale-spoilers-from-spider-man-3s.html which talks about some major SpiderMan 3 spoilers as the Movie progresses through post production and more and more sequences approach completion.

There’s a tremendous action climax to the film, set in a construction site. Peter is trying to take the Sandman down; Eddie Brock as Venom is here to try and take Peter down; and Harry does his best to lend Peter a hand. The Sandman seems to pull out of the fight after his young daughter intervenes. She’s a secret character, with not much known about her as is his wife, played by Theresa Russell.
