Hollywood wants to be part of Bollywood

SaawariyaHollywood is keen to make moolah out of India’s Bollywood. Wait, wait! They are however not trying to conquer it with their Hollywood fanfare. Instead, they want to join hands with Bollywood.

Sony Pictures Entertainment is the first in a wave of American studios to produce their own kaleidoscopic Bollywood musicals – Saawariya – complete with color dance sequences and high pitch songs. We’ll no longer copy Hollywood movies – says Bollywood

It looks like Bollywood finally woke up to the fact that it is a copyright infringement when they blatantly copy Hollywood movies. Well, it is just that Hollywood don’t care to get down to that level of Bollywood to fight out. In a recent development, the re-maker copier film producer Ravi Chopra, son of BR Chopra is making another plagiarized version of My Cousin Vinny with Govinda. The agreement would allow nuclear fuel for India’s Tarapur reactor. The US helped build the reactor but later reneged on contractual obligations to supply fuel for it because India refused to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

The deal recognises India’s unique position as a nuclear state with rights and benefits which is outside the club of the five permanent nuclear powers. The United States made a commitment to invite India to participate in international nuclear research, something that India has demanded for years.
