Any CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) employee who wants to start a personal blog which “clearly associates them with CBC/Radio-Canada” now requires their supervisor’s permission, according to a new policy “guideline document.” The guideline states that, all CBC employees are “expected to behave in a way that is consistent with our journalistic philosophy, editorial values and corporate policies.”
CBC however clarified that this policy applies only to personal blogs of all CBC Employees, including the janitors, where the author identifies themselves as a CBC employee.
