Leave your brain at home, don’t grow them inside the cinema hall either - just enjoy the funny fun. It is already a known fact that almost 99% of the Hindi Movies are copies of Hollywood and other international movies. Let’s bear it and just join them in the mindless fun. This is one particular reason why I like no-reasoning, no-brainer Hindi Movies. Otherwise, serious Hindi movies tend to sound funny and are most of the time amateurish and immature at best.
Yes, yes; I know, it has the elements of Johnny English, Road Trip, Retrace. When super-hit movies like Black, et al were even copies of an International Movie; why lament? Just enjoy the nonsense, immature plot and yet silly acting.
Dhamaal is a comedy movie that races from Mumbai to Goa for a Rs. 10 crore treasure hidden by a gangster head under a big W somewhere in a Saint Sabastian Garden in Goa. The Gand lead (cameo by Prem Chopra) was good enough in his last breath (in an accident) to reveal the whereabout of the treasure to four friends (three good-for-nothing and a stupid idiot).
Roy (Riteish Deshmukh) is the self-proclaimed detective with his signature magnetic buckle-clad belt. Manav (Javed Jaffrey) is the idiotic kid on a lad’s shoulder. Manav’s brother, Adi (Arshad Warsi) is the brain behind the team of four. Finally, Boman (Aashish Chowdhary) is the exiled son of a Gujarati father who loves his car more than his son.
Well, there are few non-relevant songs (well, they are irrelevant most of the times in Hindi movies) that have lots of flesh of white females. See, we Indian tend to have a freak craving for white chicks. Unlike the IT industry, these white models are cheaper than their costly Indian counterparts. So, the super-working-formula is to fed the Indian eyes with lots of these white flesh with scanty clothes.
So, forget the story, forget the reasonings; the way to go is - plain enjoyment and Laugh-Out-Loud. I suggest seeing the movie this weekend and before next Friday as some good movies are lined up to be released this coming Friday - Bourne Ultimatum and others.
