It has always been a frustrating experience when it comes to weekends at the various Mall in Mumbai. However, I’ve been visiting InOrbit Mall frequently these days and I am impressed. First of all, the worst in any Mall in India is the lack of Parking spaces, the worst being that of Infinity Mall at Lokhanwala, Andheri (W). InOrbit Mall at Malad, Mumbai have an extensive parking space enough for all the vehicles even on a weekend and that too at the peak hour when it is usually packed. I can still find parking spaces easily. However, the crowd still remains but I should say, it is bearable as the Mall is spacious and big.
The only problem is that of the Wi-Fi. When I could not get through to the Internet after getting connected to their Wi-Fi network, their engineer came in to help with few screen shots that are of Windows. He seem to not know how a Mac reacts, he got lost on the interface and unable to help. I had to go in their office and check their details and connected later on.
Though I really don’t like about the space at Infinity Mall, Andheri (W), I like the robustness of their Wi-Fi Access. You have to pay but it is good and the speed is awesome for such a public Wi-Fi Spot.

How can you enjoy going to a mall that is on top of a toxic waste dump? There are cancer-causing chemicals in the air and explosive gases beneath your feet. What are you thinking?

People, the latest news is tht an FIR has been lodged against Chandru l Raheja (one of the brothers accused of fraud and criminal consiparacy etc by the wadias)
You can take a look at CNBC coverage on youtube
Read the Business standard report here
“Wadia has alleged that CL Raheja group has fraudulently sold or leased it to their “own sister concerns and shell companies created for the purposes of purchase of these properties.â Wadia has alleged fraud by Rahejas and demanded damages worth Rs 350 crore from them.
Nearly ten properties have been illegally built by the Rahejas inlcuding Hypercity Mall, Inorbit Malls, Infinity Towers, Intelnet on the Malad land and Wadias have moved court to order Rahejas to demolish the structures on the land.”
From the public notice, its clear that Rahejas have done something that may not be right. And the fate of inorbit mall, mindspace, hyper city etc are now dependent on Bombay High Court due to be heard yesterday (yeah i dont know the details yet)
