Well, they did rip-off the 2005 flick – Hitch; not just the storyline but many scenes were not spared. However, the rip-off bollywood version – Partner – turn out to be an awesome laugh-out-loud movie; all thanks to Govinda.

There are good actors and bad actors and there are extremely irritating, bull-shit actors. Govinda was one of the later long back. That extreme irritation and stupidity made me watch his movies just to have the feeling of “scratching an itch” and began to enjoy his irritating acts (some people still gets really irritated till date). Don’t get me wrong but Govinda is a freak, an overdose of dance-moves-of-unmovable-bones, story-telling-twisted-lips-acting and what not. That is what he did in Partner – an overdose of everything – inspite of his role where he has to act more like the coy, weird and reckless type (the like of Albert played Kevin James in Hitch).

All his overdose, extreme body-shakes, extended one-liners with super-elongated dialogues made the audience laugh so much, it is worth every moment spent with the movie. Kids, parents and everybody enjoyed the movie. Well, we have Priya Jaisingh (Katrina Kaif) as our eye-candy (Allegra Cole played by Amber Valletta in Hitch) and we can forgive her stick-like actings. Isn’t she taking acting classes or something like that? Of course, there is Naina (Lara Dutta) who is a dare-to-do-anything-for-news journalist (the role of Sara played by Eva Mendes in Hitch). The difference from Hitch! Oh! Yes, we have lots of dancing, singing and extremely loud colors.

Salman Khan plays the role of a Love Guru cum consultant, Prem, who helps lonely, broken hearts meet their love ones. He claims that 99% of the women always get the man they desire, 99% of the men never get the women they love. That’s when he comes in. One of his client Bhasker (Govinda) is a no-good reckless, never-been-in-love weido who desparately needs Prem’s help. While helping out Bhasker get close to his heartthrob – Priya, a lone 100 crore heir. Of course, Bhasker was in love with Priya and not the money!

The irony is that, this time, Salman decided not to have Katrina opposite him. He did have few opportunity to flaunt his favorite sports-bike and his bicycle. He have been seen many times on the Mumbai streets biking on them to the Film Studios flanked by his body guards in his Merc.

Awesome movie and will make you laugh without much thoughtful reasons throughout the movie. Didn’t I told you that Govinda was there and Salman looked more like a puppet in his hand and not the other way round which was supposed to be with the movie’s story-line.
