Shrek the Third

Shrek the ThirdOn Saturday, I went to see Shrek the Third at a preview release. The movie was released earlier week across the world; the release in India is delayed by 2 weeks and will be released at theatres on 1st June, 2007.

Shrek’s father-in-law, King Harold the Frog is on his dying bed, and he is being looked at as the next heir to the kingdom of Far Far Away. Being uneasy at the kingdom and for the love his swamp, Shrek (Mike Myers) gather up his friends Donkey (voice of Eddie Murphy) and Puss (voice of Antonio Banderas) to get to the next heir - Artie (voice by Justin Timberlake) - to the King’s throne. While he was away, Princess Fiona (voice by Cameron Diaz) along with the fairy tales characters - Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Rapunzel - did their part to fend off the onslaught-kingdom-take-over by Prince Charming (Rupert Everett).

This movie is for Kids who don’t need a storyline or plot or anything else but pure fun, laughter and jingle bells. This one and half hour movie has enough vomits, fart and poop to keep the kids enthralled. Besides that, this is a time and money waster for grown-ups. You might though collect the trio-DVD when it comes out as one as a Collector’s Item.
