Spider-man 3 Movie Review

Spider-Man 3It was amazing to see the Movie Theatre full of people even on a weekday (Wednesday, 2nd May, 2007 at 10:20 pm); t’was the first day of Spider-man 3 pre-screening. Spider-man 3 is being released world-wide on 4th May, 2007. I’ve previously blogged about Spider-man 3 including some spoilers, so you know which article to avoid if you don’t want to read the spoilers.

As usual, we all stood up for the National Anthem that is sung in each and every Movie Theatre in Mumbai. Then there were coupla good trailers - Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, Surf’s Up and another Dhoom like action Hindi Bollywood Movie - Cash. I think the Pirates trailer is the first here; I haven’t seen the trailer in movie theatre before.

I personally felt that this movie is not that good as the previous Spider-man movies. Nonetheless, this is one of the most dramatic, action-packed, emotionally filled-up movie of all and runs for a long (almost) 2 and half hour. Spider-man looks stunning in his new Black Suit. Gwen Stacy (Bryce Dallas Howard) looks stunningly sexy and much much sexier even when she is fully clothed unlike Lady in the Water, where she was half naked most of the time.

Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) finally decided to ask Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst) to marry him but his days are not that good in such marital affairs. Well, perhaps Spider-man is one super hero who is so romantically involved and you’ll lots of crying, weeping in Spider-man 3. Mary Jane is also having a hard time with her career; she was fired from a Broadway production after a spree of negative reviews of her singing. She somehow began to drift her attention towards former boyfriend Harry Osborn (James Franco).

Spider-man fights the new domestic villain Harry, who suffered a short-term memory loss during the fall. He forgets about everything and becomes ‘best-friend’ of Peter Parker again. In another side of the story, Flint Marko (Thomas Haden Church), who was the man who shot Peter’s uncle Ben, finds himself part of a particle-thiny experiment which turns him into the Sandman. And finally, our third villain is Eddie Brock (Topher Grace), who becomes the black bad Venom.

You’ll love the CGI, visual effects of Spider-man 3, specially the Sandman. Well, I know you should brush aside some shots of Spider-man which you can make out that he don’t quite fit in. Spider-man 3 is worth a watch, go on and I won’t spoil it further for you. Along with 300, Spider-man 3 is another movie I am still waiting for the IMAX version. I’m not even sure if India is taking the IMAX versions?

Did I forgot to tell you that I was one of the two lucky winners of some gifts that they gave out at the Movie Theatre during the Spider-man 3 Movie break.

Its not like other Spider man movie. But is a very good movie, worth watching again. I just love the so call moral of the movie. Which says that, no matter what you always have a choice,so its up to you to decide.

Well after reading the review all I care right now is to go and enjoy the super CGI which usually draws me to these super-hero movies.
Whenever I watch the part 3 trailer, for some reason I always get reminded of “Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones” game’s trailer.
