o! Just Me

After enjoying both the HD trailers of 300, I conclude that this movie will be extremely graphic. 300 is the story of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae where King Leonidas and his 300 Spartans fought to the dead against Xerxes and his massive million Persian army. It is an epic adventure about passion, freedom and sacrifice of the Spartan.

Here is an excerpt from Aurum3;

In 480 BC, the Persian king Xerxes sends his massive army to conquer Greece. The Greek city of Sparta houses its finest warriors, and 300 of these soldiers are chosen to meet the Persians at Thermopylae, engaging the soldiers in a narrow canyon where they cannot take full advantage of their numbers. The battle is a suicide mission, meant to buy time for the rest of the Greek forces to prepare for the invasion. However, that doesn’t stop the Spartans from throwing their hearts into the fray, determined to take as many Persians as possible with them.

This should be a good movie to watch.

• 2007 Feb 28 — I just saw the Hindi version of the Trailer and as usual it is funny. It is is how I felt the first time in the late 1990’s when I heard “Naam hain mera Bond, James Bond”. However, movies makes huge money and sometimes surpasses the original English version when they are dubbed in Hindi and other Indian regional languages.
