Wordpress 2.2 will be released on April 22nd, 2007. Though there will be not too much change, it will be an evolutionary release with few improvements that might make some people happy. Some of the features to look for are like
- Tagging support
- Permalink redirection
- Improved comment editing
- phpmailer integrated
- Atom 1.0 support for feed
- Atom API support
- Additional XML-RPC APIs for pages etc
- Switched to jQuery for core JS, which is lighter and faster
Will there be
- An additional bundled theme?
- Widgets?

About the tagging support WP is allegedly working on, do you think “cloud tagging” will be included?
Many thanks for your post ; )
