Bond 22 is Quantum of Solace

Olga KurylenkoIt is reported that the untitled next Bond movie, known previously as Bond 22, will be called “Quantum of Solace“. The title is taken from one of a collection of five short stories published by 007 creator Ian Fleming in 1960. The other titles in that collection are — “From a View to a Kill”, “For Your Eyes Only”, “Risico” and “The Hildebrand Rarity”.

Producer Michael Wilson have promised that “Quantum of Solace” will have ‘twice as much action’ as Casino Royale, which saw Daniel Craig debut as the iconic secret agent. We would be seeing Olga Kurylenko as the new Bond Girl - Camille. Actress Gemma Arterton plays an MI6 agent in the film and has already shot her love scenes with 007.

It is confirmed that the film will pick up ‘literally an hour after’ Casino Royale’s conclusion, when a wounded Mr. White is confronted by Bond. Daniel Craig noted that Bond learns “that there’s an organization out there that needs to be sorted out, and that’s his job now, to go out and stop them.” Bond and M continue to interrogate suspects regarding the organization, and Bond goes to Haiti where he meets Camille (Olga Kurylenko), Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric) and Fields (Gemma Arterton).

It is also reported that the Aston Martin DBS V12 will return in the film and Ford GTs will also be used. A new James Bond computer video game is also scheduled to be released to tie-in with the launch of this movie.

Quantum of Solace is scheduled to be released on 7 November 2008.
