One of this year’s highly anticipated sci-fi movie, The Day the Earth stood still, is a remake of a Black-and-White 1951 Movie by the same name. The story is about a humanoid alien, Klaatu (Keanu Reeves) who comes to Earth to warn us not to take their conflicts into space, else we’ll face devastating consequences.
It is rumored that the new remake is pretty much in alignment with the original. However, it has to be seen as more online viral trailers, teasers and stories reveal, what new elements and differences are introduced in this 2008 movie.
The movie is expected to be out December 12, 2008.

Why on earth are they remaking this move, and more to the point when does putting Keanu Reeves in anything where he has to say more than “whoa” sound like a good idea.
keep it up Hollywood, you haven’t ruined Citizen Kane, Gone with the Wind, or Casablanca yet… you’re slacking.
