Motorola is a U.S. based mobile handset manufacturing company that makes quality handsets which has already made a mark in making music phones with a good platform and sound.

Motomusic will be a complete pay and download site having more than 350,000 songs along with other multimedia features such as wallpapers and videos. It has been recently introduced in the country. With a recent launch of the new iPhone 3G in the world market, which is soon to enter India, market experts say that this portal is a way to sustain and grow in the music platform and thus compete better with Apple, though Motorola’s Mobile Devices Director (Products and Solutions) (India and South West Asia), Faisal Siddiqui denied the fact.

He states that mobile users have become more demanding; listening to music portably with their mobile devices has become a necessity, thus to cater to such demands, this launch is a smart move in getting a good hold over the market. Music download is an untapped market in the country. Motomusic will provide platform to upcoming music talent and also take care of their interests.

Music and gaming are the most upcoming and money generating avenues for the mobile service providers in India, according to a survey. This portal will provide revenues not only to itself but to Value Added Service providers as well.

Motorola has come up with its own secure way of buying music online with the introduction of music card which allows users to subscribe and pay through this card whenever they buy music from Motomusic. This automatically removes the possibility of online thefts as no credit card number is revealed.

India would be the second country in Asia, after China, where Motomusic has been introduced. Mobile music distribution firm Soundbuzz has made a tie up with Motorola to provide their services in India.

Also, Motorola is clubbing its mobile devices to be featured with Motomusic, with Motorola ROCR E8 being sold with this portal software and web application.

To enable Transliteration, first make sure that Hindi is listed in your “languages I speak” section:

1. Visit your homepage and click the profile button under your photo.
2. Next, click edit profile.
3. On the general tab, find the languages i speak section and choose Hindi from the dropdown menu.
4. Click update.

Once you’ve done that, you’ll see a new checkbox above the scrap box when you visit a scrapbook.

How do I type with Transliteration?

Use the checkbox to toggle the transliteration feature on and off (You can also use Ctrl-G). The letters of a word will appear as you type them until you reach the end of the word. Once you type a space or a punctuation mark, the letters will be converted to Devanāgarī characters. The transliteration feature attempts to accurately match the sounds of the letters between the two alphabets. If you find that it’s incorrect, however, you can fix it.

The US Air Force Research Laboratory have invented a breakthrough betavoltaic power cells that can power your laptops for a continuous 30 years. That is way beyond enough of any Laptop life-span. The power cells are constructed from semiconductors and use radioisotopes as the energy source. As the radioactive material decays it emits beta particles that transform into electric power capable of fueling an electrical device like a laptop for years.

Betavoltaics generate power when an electron strikes a particular interface between two layers of material. The Process uses beta electron emissions that occur when a neutron decays into a proton which causes a forward bias in the semiconductor. This makes the betavoltaic cell a forward bias diode of sorts, similar in some respects to a photovoltaic (solar) cell. Electrons scatter out of their normal orbits in the semiconductor and into the circuit creating a usable electric current.

The best part about these cells are when they eventually run out of power they are totally inert and non-toxic, so environmentalists need not fear these high tech scientific wonder batteries. If all goes well plans are for these cells to reach store shelves in about 2 to 3 years.
