We know why Mumbai needs more Power?

Mumbai is in a deplorable state with regards to its power requirement. The outskirts have already started regular load shedding whereas the whole of Mumbai will start soon. Well, the funny part is that of a very common sight – the street lamps in Mumbai are so well lit up during daytime. So, who is really wasting the power?

Here is a picture set to prove the contradictory reaction from the authorities. While we see huge billboards urging the people to save power; it is being wasted elsewhere.

The pathetic plight of Mumbai Traffic

That is the pathetic plight of the current Mumbai Traffic. Earlier, I thought Pune was the city that do not follow Traffic rules but Mumbai is now ahead in the competition. Pedestrian would try to cut across wherever and whenever they can, if anything happens, then the vehicle drivers are to be blame. I was once told strictly by my Driving instructor to avoid 2 things in Mumbai at all cost – Human Pedestrian and Bicycle riders. Very True, I guess.

The Lee Cooper Jeans that shows off the Panty?

The controversial Levi's HoardingI knew something was wrong with the picture – “it isn’t supposed to be this bold yet in the city of Mumbai.” Well, the Lee Cooper hoarding which shows a girl showing off her Panty (the denim was barely seen) was taken down from the Indralok Building, Lokhanwala, Andheri (W), Mumbai (INDIA).

It was Tuesday afternoon and I was on my way to replace my front License Plate as some kid had broken it while playing cricket in the colony (no, no, cricket is not yet banned in Mumbai yet). When I turned around the Lokhanwala circle, I saw the huge hoarding and I felt, something is not right about this. I reached for my camera and took two shots while trying to negotiate the building traffic at that afternoon hour.

Big Brother – Shilpa Shetty wins

Shilpa Shetty“Shilpa Shetty (Shilpa Shetty)”:http://www.shilpa-shetty.com/ ends the Racist controversy at the “Big Brother (Big Brother)”:http://www.channel4.com/bigbrother/ – well she won. Yes, Shilpa has been crowned the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2007 after polling 67% of the final vote.

Shilpa’s devotion to feeding the housemates didn’t quite win her unanimous support, as Danielle, Jade and Jo debated the health and safety of her chicken. And then came the great stock cube argument – Racism at the Big Brother’s House. But Shilpa managed to sail through stormy waters with her head held high and her over sized sunglasses firmly secured. Apologies and cider were soon heaped upon her and her infectious laughter was regularly heard bouncing off the walls of the House. Her time in the House was definitely full of emotion and incident, and she has won over a legion of new fans.

InOrbit – Perhaps the best Mall in Mumbai

InOrbit Mall at Malad, Mumbai (INDIA)It has always been a frustrating experience when it comes to weekends at the various Mall in Mumbai. However, I’ve been visiting “InOrbit Mall (InOrbit Mall)”:http://www.inorbitmalls.com/ frequently these days and I am impressed. First of all, the worst in any Mall in India is the lack of Parking spaces, the worst being that of “Infinity Mall (Infinity Mall)”:http://www.infinitymall.com/ at Lokhanwala, Andheri (W). InOrbit Mall at Malad, Mumbai have an extensive parking space enough for all the vehicles even on a weekend and that too at the peak hour when it is usually packed. I can still find parking spaces easily. However, the crowd still remains but I should say, it is bearable as the Mall is spacious and big.

Miss Universe Zuleyka Rivera was here in Mumbai at the Siddhivinayak Temple

I was on my way towards the Worli side of Mumbai yesterday and of course bought the “Apple wireless Mighty Mouse (Mighty Mouse)”:http://mac.brajeshwar.com/2006/10/apple-wireless-mighty-mouse/. On my way, I was surprised at the traffic snarl on my side of the road and the security lined up across the roads till the “Siddhivinayak Temple (Siddhivinayak Temple)”:http://www.siddhivinayak.org/. That traffic was unusual for an official holiday here. I learnt that “Miss Universe (Miss Universe)”:http://www.missuniverse.com/ 2006 *Zuleyka Rivera* of Puerto Rico was visiting the *Siddhivinayak Temple*. She is currently on a tour of India to promote AIDS awareness. On the same breath of AIDS Awareness, the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation is also pouring in over $23 million to India for the next 3 years.
